Dear forum,

I have code B2291 and airbag flashing code 17. All three of my passenger position sensors are merrily clicking away, irrespective of this flashing code. If that code light is flashing, my passenger proximity to airbag light (on the wooden part of the dash in front of the passenger) does not light if stimulated? However, if I cycle my ignition two or three (or sometimes four) times, the flashing light is extinguished and everything (including the passenger proximity to airbag light) now works and the light stays off until I next turn on the ignition? I can clear the code, but it returns.

I have checked the connections under the passenger seat and they all appear fine?

Please, what should I try next?

Thank you…

There are four sensors. Two in headliner, so manual states. Unfortunately when they are clicking it means they have power but not necessarily a signal return to the module. I have not looked in SDD to see if the signal is reported however I would expect it to be there.

Thank you for your post.
I can only find 3 sensors; on the dash, the A pillar and above the B pillar? I do not have SDD to check for any returned signal, so I am basically stumped!

Perhaps more important than an annoying dash light, will my passenger airbag still deploy if needed, please?

I am assuming you meant to say check under my passenger seat (on the right hand side of the car)?

not sure it's on my passenger side left side I should be under your driver's side because of the body pressing try that first if not it should be on your passanger side right side I hope it will work out for you from Robert rawle
