Codes U1262, B2496 & B2533
Dear Forum,
Please could someone help me with the attached codes:
The Driver's Door Module (U1262) may well be that I need to replace my non-functioning passenger rear door Actuator? I think?
However, the Security Horn (B2496) has me puzzled as it appears to be working normally?
And the same for the Right Hand Rear Stop Lamp - Again, seems to be working okay?
Thank you.

I my experience a failed door lock has allways been the actuator itself and not the DDM.
I seem to remember that there has been a problem with a DDM connection in the past
and reported on this forum.
I think also that the DDM is on the wrong side of the moisture barrier in the door.
Therefore I suggest that you have a look at that and unplug/replug the connectors and clean with electrical cleaner.
It might be a good idea to replace the relevant fuse-in very rare cases there can be a problem with the fuse itself.
Fuses listed in Owners' Manual
Cheers

Thank you Meirion1,
My Drivers Door works okay (most of the time); it's my rear passenger door that has the dud Actuator....(very shortly to be replaced)...And maybe the DDM is reacting to that and throwing this fault? What do you think?
As for the other two codes, they relate to faults that do not appear to exist, but keep returning after being cleared?
Perhaps I should just ignore them (apart from replacing the passenger rear door actuator) and be grateful that these are the only Fault Codes I currently have.....But you know how you get with these beauty's.....like a dog with a bone!!
However, I will whip the driver's door card off and spray connectors, as you suggest.

I sometimes get a small shock when pressing my boot opening button; I have been putting it down to a static charge? Perhaps its a leak to ground from my Stop Light and this is what is causing the fault code, despite the fact that my stop light is working correctly?
Does its circuit only become live when I press my brake pedal, or (like the reversing lights) does Jaguar have that strange arrangement they seem to favour of a constant live and then making the circuit using the ground wire?
Please excuse my lack of auto electrical knowledge, but how do I test this, please?

Every X350 I ever scanned had these faults stored, and many other random ones that made no sense.
As everything is working fine, don't worry about them, they all have these fault codes for whatever reason.
You just need to change the door lock assembly, they all fail eventually, I've had to replace every door lock in my XJR.

When a Jaguar is running OK, enjoy it. Many "faults" are recorded simply because a sensor has momentarily gone out-of-range and should not be taken as an indication of impending catastrophe or that the vehicle is about to grind to a halt.
Chill out ....... providing of course your AC isn't showing any faults.
