Ford auto locking program
Meirion1, I followed your instructions, replaced the microswitch and I now have a locking & unlocking front R/H passenger door...So thank you very much!
I also found that the motor has a small brass washer that acts like a bushing on the opposite end of the armature shaft to the worm gear. Mine had come out of the casing and was just sat on the end of the shaft lying Judas and this was preventing the armature from running true? I pushed (and superglued) the washer back into the motor's casing and this removed the wobble when it spun; I mention this in case it is of help to someone inspecting their motor.
Worth noting that when testing before reinstalling, it will work as a test but it will not actually unlatch the lock until it is refitted in the door, unless you depress the end of the cable that goes to the inner release lever...I wasted several hours to find that out!!
Lock on the fob still does not work for any of the doors but unlock on the fob now works for all doors bar the drivers, for which I must use the key?
At least I can now lock and unlock all four doors with the key, a big improvement!
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the drivers door unlocking with the key (but not with the fob) is not the fault of a failed actuator/microswitch...Or is it?

HI ESray
"Worth noting that when testing before reinstalling, it will work as a test but it will not actually unlatch the lock until it is refitted in the door, unless you depress the end of the cable that goes to the inner release lever...I wasted several hours to find that out!!"
There is a triangular socket on the outside of the actuator and two wires that run on the outside up to the top which
I believe is a type of proximity sensor which tells the system that the door is shut.
I believe that you can hold say a screwdriver in the latch in the same position as the latch bolted to the body
to fool and fully test the actuator that way.
The fob commands go via the DDM and the key is connected directly to the driver's door actuator.
I suggest that you check and clean the myriad connections on the DDM.

Thanks Meirion1, wilco...
Just to be sure, does the key unlocking the driver's door do so mechanically or via a microswitch/actuator, please? If electronically, then I am assuming the problem could be with either the DDM or the actuator (or both)?
