Ok, I have the XJR. Now I am trying to order front pads on Summit Racing, but there are several different looking pads. (Yes, I have narrowed the search to font pads only)
Didn't all XJR's come with the Brembo calipers? Why are there different looking pads listed with different mounting tangs? Which one do I get?
TIA...

Yeah you have Brembo's, have a look here for accurate details on the brakes

Double-check the pad dimensions against the pictures.

Cambo,
Your post on the Brembo brake options is outstanding! Thank you for doing the research and putting together such an informative report.
I notice that Mintex pads are not listed, but Mintex is a longstanding Jaguar OEM (since at least the '50s Le Mans-winning C- and D-Types), and it's quite possible, if not likely, that they made the original equipment "Jaguar" pads on the X350 XJRs. Mintex pads are reasonably priced and available in the U.S. from some of the good independent Jaguar parts vendors. Braking performance is excellent, with the one drawback that brake dust production is also equivalent to OE.
I wish I could have found Ferodo pads in the U.S. because I've had superb performance from them in our XJ40s in years past. If anyone knows of a U.S. source for Ferodos for the XJR fronts I would love to know. I found a source for the rears, but not the fronts.
I've also had excellent performance from Pagid pads in our BMW.
Cheers,
Don

I'd missed Mintex but it after a quick check they also list the correct pads to suit the Brembo cars so I'll add them to the FAQ.

Thanks. So the S-Type & XJR share the same pad styles?
