Default Headliner fabric

Hi all
I'm trying to get the headliner redone on my 03Xj8X350 and it seems there is no matching fabric available in Australia at the moment
It's a beige colour we are trying to match the original colour otherwise it's going to need all the other pieces done so been searching for 5 weeks now with no luck any one got any idea who sells the fabric and what it's actually called had a look at sng Barrett they have a complete kit but it's 550pounds that's over a thousand dollars here in Australia
The motor trimmer said its a beige colour little bit frustrating seems to be a common problem hence no stock at the moment
Any info much appreciated

Try Champagne or call Jaguar Australia give them your vin # and have the e-mail you the build sheet for that car. NJ USA, Jaguar America did for me very nice people.

Hard to believe but you can spray paint fabric.

I have red carpets in my Healey and the trans tunnel had faded over the years so I painted it with a spray can.

Not an exact match but much better than it was.

Boy racers fit huge speakers in the boot and cover with carpet then spray carpet to match.

Just need to be careful with *** ends! lol.

Just been talking to my trimmer and he said need to pull the back window out to get the headliner board out the back window

I did read this on a another post that some guys did it in the car

I have found a supplier for the fabric in Florida reasonable price

What I wanted to know is the back window bonded in or does it use a rubber seal like my XJR6

I have read here that you can remove the lining through the door without removing the rear window. The Liner needs to be folded slightly but is not damaged in the process.

Behind the drivers door (when opened) next to the dash - should be a sticker listing the 3 letter interior code.

That should guide you in the right direction.

03' or 04'?Your post says 03' your bio says 04'. I dont know if it matters much though, but when I pulled my headliner out I did not remove any windows. I pulled off the sail panels and removed the rear seat completely(Not that hard) than put drivers seat all the way forward and removed all connectors(sensors) slightly bent the headliner and shimmied out. Same method in reverse with new liner. Mines an 04' shouldnt matter though. Lots of Fabric available here so I was lucky to pick it up same day. Good Luck

Don't remove the back window, it's just asking for damage to the car and a leaky seal.

1 - Simply remove the 8 bolts that secure the front seats. Both pairs of front seat bolts are star sockets, but that's a pretty common tool these days.

2 - Open the front doors and tilt both front seats outboard, so they are laying on their sides. Put some towels or pillows down to protect them.

This will give you all the room you need to get the headliner out one of the back doors. You will have to bend the headliner card a bit, but it will spring back into shape after. This is actually a pretty intense job, and don't forget the fabric on the sunroof slider.

I'm going to post this and go find where I did a full write-up, it's too long to re-type every time.

Its an 03 X350 but they didn't release the X350 in the rest of the world till 04

When I ask for 03 or say its an 03 they think its a X308 when its an X350 sorry for the confusion even I get confused

I have the same problem with my wife's 06 Jeep grand Cherokee CRD they didn't bring the CRD model out till 07 in the USA so when I order parts from the USA I say its an 07
