Hello - on a road trip and all lights, switches work etc. However, fog lights don't come on even though the green light on dash says they are on. 15amp fuse is good also. I am thinking it is a relay but manual doesn't tell me which relay it is. Any help is great appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Do you know that the bulbs themselves aren't burned out?

Hi Blake,

According to the 2004 Driver's Handbook, page 4-25, the fog lamps will only operate when the sidemarker lamps are on. Have you tried turning your main headlamp switch to the first position to illuminate the sidemarkers, then trying your fog lamps?

Cheers,

Don

You may need to have the ignition switched on as well.

Edit: Yes, you need the ignition switched on (ie position II) AND the lights switch (L/H stalk) on side/parking or head setting THEN press the fog light button.

Yes, I realize the car has to be on with the light switch on either side or full lights. I checked the bulbs and they are good. I just need to know which relay is for the fog lamps. Thanks again.

Thread says replace R1 (main beam and fog light) relay and your issue should be resolved.

The front fogs are relay R6 in the front (under the hood) fuse box; it's the same in both the 2004 (first) and the 2008 (last) electrical guide.

You can download the guide from http://www.jagrepair.com/
