i have 2 good hid assemblies for xj that took me forever to get for a customer that wanted to convert. then I text him and let him know and .................neve heard back after he bugged the crap outta me to get.
XJ hids are like chicken teeth to get So if youre interested in doing a factory conversion youll just have to change the triggers since theyre differant. Ill have to do the preliminary wiring and then youll do the hookups to the car. Ive done many on Stype but none on XJ's. Not for the lack of people wanting to do, but from the aspect of getting useable units without buying new.

Back to the original question - for HID x350 stock setups are the lenses alone avialable? Ours appear "frosted".

Probably like mine. My local shop told me they can get it polished off, so at home I looked out my bottle of paint polish, (a whilte liquid compound to polish new paint NOT car wax). About 20 mins per side soon got the frosting out.

I noticed that the lenses on our 04 VDP are plastic. That means one can end up polishing away the UV protection (there is one company out there that makes a buff on replacement, but it doesn't work as well or last as long as the factory finish. On other cars I've owned once you start buffing plastic lenses you have to keep doing it every 3 or 6 months.

So, are the HID lenses replaceable?

There is a wipe-on protective coating available that last for at least a year (I have to dig up the bottle). I used it last November and my Lenses are still clear. There are protective covers available from England that are for the Headlamps and Fog Lights.

those suck, clearbra makes a kit to cover and protect. Even though they were really used alot on the glass lenses, they protect the plastic ones from degrading and yellowing over time which is the big benefit
