Default Navigation voice gone low

Anyone have experience of low navigation voice. I know what it used to be like, but it has recently gone low. The radio and cd and phone are fine. The nav volume control on the system screen is at max. I presume the nav uses the same amp and speakers.
Thanks

Mine has been low since I bought the car and is set to the max in the volume presets and doesn't go any higher with the steering wheel volume controls. When I changed the language from US English to English (British) it was even quieter. I can't find anywhere to turn it up. Hope you find a solution.

I presume you have looked at the handbook?

I didn't get a handbook with the car but I did find one on ebay and did read it. Here are my presets. Any suggestions?

The only thing I can think of are the DSP settings. Play with those and see if any setting there improves the volume. If it does it might indicate a speaker problem?

Also try switching off the AVC in case something is not working with that.

DSP settings? Explain?

I increased the ACV from the default setting to max thinking it might help, but it didn't seem to make much difference in NAV volume if any. The speakers seem fine with the CD changer playing unless the Nav uses a separate speaker. I'll try turning the AVC all the way down the next time to see if it makes a difference, or maybe try switching to default settings. I think the NAV preset was already turned up when I got the car.

DSP settings are where you change sound balance from left to right, back to front of the car. It is a sound menu option.

Not all cars have the dsp. It sort of optimizes the sound for a particular seating position.

Yes, i also have read the handbook and know what she is like when she feels like talking. Will check out the nav box itself, maybe pull a fuse c and restart it to.

OK, I checked and there is a screen for DSP but it seems to turn off and on the speakers for the rear, the front left, or front right. Does it "optimize" rather than turn them off and on? I either turned off or de-optimized the rear speakers (whichever it does), so I'll see if that helps miss GPS the next time we drive, and I'll try just the left front if that helps increase the volume.

It does what you say. Not very sophisticated!

Well, embarrassed to say that the front door speakers on both side has failed, in the wire that is heat melted between voice coil and connector plug. Was able to solder a new connection to the voice coil and restored all voice. I could have replaced speakers too, but didn't.
