Default No communication on SCP network even though all functions work.

I have lost complete communication too everything on the SCP network my driver door module is the main concern as this is needed too code keys too the vehicle and I only discovered this issue after attempting too code two new keys and it cleared the old ones now my car is bricked and won’t start.

before this the car started fine everything worked as it should all windows operated all door locks even the button too pop the trunk on the dash that operates via the SCP network even that still works. But when I plug in my laptop and use JLR SSD/SDD I get no communication too the entire SCP network

I also have this code for no communication from the ecm too the Tcm prior too attempt key programming vehicle drove and shifted fine with no issues including manual shifting.

If all of the body functions work (locks, windows, trunk, lights, etc) then the SCP bus is functioning.

What OBD-USB cable are you using? The clone cables have tons of issues like this. If the SCP bus was not working on the car all the modules would be setting codes for loss of com.

I called a locksmith out and he had a key programmer that was capable of programming keys on our jaguars via the can bus instead of the scp network. My two new keys are working I have no idea why I get no comms too the scp network he was having the same issue with 4 different key programmers he grabbed out the dinosaur and fired it up first tried scp and that didn’t work did it via the canbus and it worked my keys and fobs are programmed. Anyone in the Maryland area ever has this issue contact allied locksmith in queenstown MD.

SCP network problems are quite common on the X350. The SCP is a twisted pair cable that can be damaged anywhere, shorted to ground or another cable, or any connector can be clogged. Everything works because the network found a workaround, but you will not program any SCP-related module. Some useful links:

The way the bus structure was used in 2004 changed in 2005. Many non-OEM OBD readers will not work for many functions since the programmers did not worry about the coding for old bus config. Your initial problem could have been cause by your low voltage while programming.

Can you post what SDD see's for modules?

Something like this screen?

Do you have any red X's?

The power supply to the battery is critical! Especially when doing keys!
Do you have a proper DC power supply and NOT a battery charger on the car?
What is the ripple and amperage rating along with the voltage output? SDD wants 13.4 VDC from the power supply.

Also post what this shows in SDD.

Notice the yellow battery symbol. This needs to be green. If the cars voltage drops to 12.5 VDC SDD will stop all programming.

There is no way that I had low voltage the battery is brand new as verified by the locksmith that came out and I also had a charger plugged directly into the battery set at 25amps my JLR SSD was showing the battery status as green I have no issues with this vehicle battery wise the car can be left unhooked weeks even months at a time and it will always crank up too life

Yes it was yellow at that point due too continued tests I assure you my scp network is down and has nothing too do with battery voltages infact when I took that picture my laptop wasn’t even hooked up into the car

I have no idea what is wrong with the vehicle all I know is my particular jaaag I don’t get energized at system relay 2 my scp network is unable to accept requests as I was unable to code keys too my jaguar and my JLR SSD marks it as not responding modules anything that communicates on the SCP network even though all functions work. It is weird but bypassing the relay and finding someone who can code keys via the canbus fixed all my issues.

The problem is not the car or your SDD version, laptop or even your astrological sign... The VXdiag dongles don't work right on the X350 in that exact way. That and its constant need for connecting to its mothership for license updates quickly drove me to find a Mongoose clone, which has worked perfectly for me.

The VXdiag dongle is junk in this application.

Really... Seriously---Try/get a different dongle. When I used the Nano during the first year of owning my XJ8, SDD (multiple versions of it!) showed no comms to the SCP bus. Switching dongles magically gave me back full connection to all buses and all ECUs. If you were somewhere in the central US within a few hundred miles of me, I'd offer to stop by and help out.
