Default Obd sensors

It seems like it takes a long time I me for all the sensors to reset. I have two that show incomplete after 400 miles and following a couple prescribed drive cycles...the comprehensive monitor and egr monitor. Meanwhile, I have a persistent code and mil on because of engine temperature staying too low. I guess I need a new thermostat. I see partsgeek has the assembly for an oem equivalent, but im wondering of there is a metal upgrade. I'm also hoping that the code will clear itself after the thermostat is working properly and it restarts and hears up to temperature a few times. If I can get it inspected I'll be happy to drive it and get everything sorted out. My mechanic is on vacation for about a week so if all goes well I can get my sticker then.

If certain parameters are required to set readiness, engine temp is probably one of them.

Engine temp not reaching specified range will probably prohibit completion of some?

I suspect by sensors you mean OBD monitors. Expecting them to set (not clear) with any fault flagged is optimistic...

Seems that the 04's are often a real pain for the comprehensive components to clear.
Mine has not cleared in over a year now, the E G R valve was slower than the 07's,but cleared eventually.
Still passes smog test, with one not clear, it runs well, so life is great

Default Will the codes self clear when the problem is fixed?

I've ordered a replacement thermostat assembly, which should arrive in a couple of days. The only code it's showing at last check is p0128, but the check engine light is on. Will the code clear and the light go off after a few restarts with the coolant heating up to temperature as it should, or will I have to clear the codes and go through resetting all the sensors again?

Just guessing that it should clear on its own, after it warms up, the way it should.

After 4 warm ups with no faults the MIL should go off.
