What a job. Very time consuming and quite stressful. I say stressful because of the patience needed to take everything apart without breaking or snapping something off due to the colossal heat under the engine bay. I now know the local Jaguar dealer parts guys very well now. After replacing a ton of parts fired the car up to bleed the coolant system and it ran as normal I was very surprised. This did not last as when I went to test drive the car it went into limp mode with the dash lit up like a Christmas tree . This was at the beginning of December and the weather got the better of me and my back was know restricting me so I mothballed the car. Since it has been sat on my drive the fuel straps decided to rust through. Then while under the car I noticed the drivers side rear brake flexy hose leaking. This car is jinxed its falling apart sat there doing nothing. When the weather and my back let me I shall have to get back to it to see what I can find .Sometimes it will fire and run as normal for a minute or two then go back into limp mode. I am pretty much at a loss what to do next bar taking it apart again and checking everything.

No fix for this? Almost EVERY thread on his has no solid fix? ever why? Im getting the SAME thing only at high r's 2-3 or 3-4 shift right at redline, ngk's and new coils no change?? All other driving is totally normal, PUNCH it and the 1-2 is PERFECT the 3-4 etc always makes the rattling noise (ping) and the RP comes on. Starting to think about selling.

Sounds like classic E Clutch getting ready to s**t the bed....
