gearbox fault engine systems fault / engine revving
cant figure this out.
Engine system fault / gearbox fault lights coming on and the engine is revving. This happens after the brake pedal is depressed. Then the engine starts to rev up but the car hesitates.
Also having another issue.. The back up sensors are causing the amber dash light to come on and the sensors are no longer working properly. This only happens when in reverse obviously. Also, causing the rear lights to malfunction and not illuminate as they should almost like the wires are crossed.
Thanks

I had the exact same problem 2 weeks ago. The yellow wire on the throttle body plug came loose.
The yellow wire pulled out while I was working on the manifold over two years ago. I reclipped the wire, pushed it in the plug harness and then filled it with silicone. However, driving on the wonderful roads of Chicago with all the potholes must have backed the wire off.
If those wires are all OK, check the brake sensor. You stated it only starts after you press the brake pedal. Does your "brake" light, lower right on the dash - red, come on?
