Default Sirius XM radio

Does anyone know what parts are needed to add Sirius XM to an 08 VP? I know the Sirius module, antenna but anything else?

I would do a quick search, I believe this has been discussed before (not sure where). Antenna is on the car already. You'll need a gateway module, D2B cable to gateway, and MOST cable from gateway to Sirius module. I might be missing some other details.

Thanks for the reply. I did a search but couldn’t quite find anything definitive.

Gateway module is the tricky bit to find second hand and they are very expensive from Jag. I thought about it for dab radio but the gateway module is very hard to get.

What is the Gateway Module and where is it located?

It's the interface between the d2b system and the most side. I think it was only used for a year or 2 and only on cars with dab or sirius.

I’ve seen them on EBay. It looks like that is needed plus cabling, Sirius controller, Sirrius control pad and whatever assorted cabling.

No control pad, all controlled from the head unit for 2008-2009. There were two different SiriusXM installations, one for earlier cars, and the more integrated factory option for 2008-2009. If you can find the kit, you could do the accessory one with the ashtray screen installation, but that is basically an FM signal injector, poorer quality sound and much more of an add-on install.

Thanks Dave, I was looking for the integrated option, I have installed a system already by hacking the CD player to make an AUX in and mounted a XM Commander Touch in the ashtray but I really want the integrated option.
