W T F was the previous owner thinking????????
Topically a piece of weed eater line is carefully used to clear any blockage.
Looks like replacing the hoses, or staying out of the rain, are your choices.
Reinstalling them could be a real treat.
Best of luck, to you.
I am surprised he was able to remove them? I have repaired drains that have pulled off the nipple and the hose was impossible for me to stretch out and I had to put a splice in the tubing to make it reach.
Tested the fronts and they discharged out just behind front wheels without obvious soaking of the interior fabrics. That said I haven’t dropped the front of the headliner or the A pillars to actually eyeball the situation…
I've got some silicone tubing arriving tomorrow to jerry rig something as an interim solution. May end up sending the tubes down into the spare wheel well and out through a new set of bulkhead fittings. Maybe…

That is where they are supposed to drain. If you undo the fender liner at the rear of the front wheel you should see the drain hose.
oh I see, I was looking above the exhaust, not adjacent! Not sure how the hell I'm going to get a hose connected to that fitting; assuming it’s still there of course () Bumper off job maybe?
For future visitors to this thread, it is indeed possible to reroute 2x 2.5m 8mm ID (10mm OD) silicone tube from the sunroof, down to near the original fittings in about 2 hours all in.
Now need to investigate whether the bumper needs pulling to facilitate refitting the tube to the OEM outlet fittings or something else.
The outlet tube adjacent to the muffler is metal. Likely aluminum expanded in the aluminum panel.
I'm thinking that access may be via trunk (boot) after removing liner on each side.
That's a guess though.
Along with everyone else, I am stunned. What could possibly have been their reasoning?
That said, I stripped a 94 xj12 down to the empty shell and kept those tubes off of it mostly with the idea that they might be useful somewhere else sometime, and not being able to conceive of the idea that they would be needed on any existing car ever. You are welcome to them if you are interested, I'll go measure them and see if they are close enough.....

That's very kind of you - but as I'm in the UK that could be more trouble (cost) that it's worth.
I need to go out on check on the current state of the nation with my silicone enhancements and see how they're holding up in this recent rain...
one tube was kinked so didn’t quite work as planned the the other side worked flawlessly <chefs kiss>
I might rerun them with slightly thicker walled tubing if they start to cause trouble… Can also confirm NO outlet fittings exist as I’m passing my tubes out onto the deck at present. Car not needed at the moment so can sit on the driveway until this is squared away.
