Default Super charger Oil change- problem

So I run into another problem today.

1. It appears that my fill plug is stripped. Does anyone know what is the replacement p/n?

2. How did you guys get access to the fill plug? Basically how do you remove the wiring that is blocking the access to the plug? On one of the wiring i can trace it to the left of the engine but there is a plug that I do not know how to remove.

when I changed mine the other day I did not have to move any wiring just the plastic air intake for the supercharger. Also when looking at the hex fill plug it looked like it was stripped but when I managed to get the hex key all the way in before turning it was fine.
It was not that easy to undo simply because I could only turn the hex key about 1/4 turn at a time as it was too long. It was quite difficult to get it started when putting it back in.

Have you looked at the pictures of how to do it in this forum?
Do a search on "super charger oil". For some reason I could not paste the URL here.

Hi

I did look at pictures. Some did it with wiring removed and some did not.

But my fill bolt is stripped. I cant get the Allen key to sit properly. So I was thinking remove the wiring and get better access.

I wish you luck. I will add that I had to clean out the hex plug hole first. Also the first allen key would not fit even tho it was supposed to be the correct size. The second one same thing. The 3rd one I tried did fit and I was able to push it all the way in. I was using long needle nosed pliers to manipulate the hex key.

Thanks

I broke down and had someone do it for me.

The bolt was stripped even though it doesn't appear the oil was ever changed. The oil smelled so bad.

The new oil went in and the super charger whine is gone. The throttle response is much better and engine now feels like a 390HP engine should be.

Only one item left- parking brake fault. Then I am done.

Total= $3500 for the car. Parts=$1200. Labor to fix everything probably $400.

A smooth running XJR for $5100. Not a bad deal.

Thats good news.
How many miles on your car? If the supercharger oil was never changed then the transmission oil probably has not been either.
