Well finally i am waiting for a new arrival! thanks Member George Androulakis my XJR should be arriving today! what a search, trying to find a good car here in NC is the most difficult search for a car i have ever had. Cars here seem to fall into 3 Categories Main Dealer, Expensive independent dealer, pile of Crap! unless you want a pickup them your spoilt for choice. after looking at 10 cars from NC to SC and Virginia and 3 Dealer inspections paid for i was giving up. George came through and Ronnie will be here Today! here are some pics of the car at the dealers i will post more later.

I went to Maryland (from California) to get the right '06 SuperV8 Portfolio after looking for 6 months. You know when you have the right car.

Agreed about the abundance of cr*p out there. Kind of sad that folks don't take care of such beautiful (and expensive) cars

Every car I have ever purchased for myself (except for my very first car) has been from an individual. You get the BEST cars that way and you save thousands!!! I was looking for an XJR for about a month when an 04 with 43K miles came up for sale just across town from me. It was a nice, babied example...looks like brand new. And I got it for a couple grand less than what I was seeing from the dealers.

I do need to post some pics. It's your basic dark gray. I think it's beautiful. I struggled with whether I wanted an '03 (X308) or the newer body style. But the decision was made for me when I could drive 10 minutes to the guys house and actually touch and drive it!!

 

Wish I .could of done that but here in NC prestige cars are few and far between. Pick ups and jeeps take your pick! Very pleased with the outcome the car arrived and once I had cleaned it if it had of been local I would of snapped it up. Really pleased I have a clean bill of health from a Jaguar Dealer in Florida as well, so all good.

Spent all day cleaning the delivery bugs off of Ronnie and i have got to say this car is Clean! the inside leather is spotless car looks brand new inside. the brake calipers look brand new and the wheels have not a mark on them. My neighbor came over to see what was going on and could not believe the car was nearly 8 yrs old. Will totally do this again at sometime with George thanks Mate. At a Carolina Jag meet at Leith Jaguar tomorow so will see what they have to say i will take some pic's of the event. Here are some more Photo's

 

Good luck with the new Jag, it looks great. When I finally talk my wife into sellng her Mustang I am going to see if George can find us a 02-04 XKR. I think it will look a lot better in the driveway next to our XJ8.
