Just turned over 200,000 miles on my 04 VDP today. She still runs like new!

Sounds like a good idea. Who else out there has turned 200k?

200k KM on my 05, but that is kilometers not miles (125k miles). Engine still humming along.

Traded my 3.5Se last November for the Super V8, it had 204000 miles on the clock, I ran it for nearly 8 years, it had about 53000 when I got it.
The Super V8 had 116000 on it last November when I got it and I have already added about 10500 to that !

My yr 2002 XJ8 4.0L SE has 240,000 miles showing - and still purrs beautifully. The engine has never been opened with only oil, plugs and filter changes at service intervals. The only failure has been the TPS so a 2nd hand throttle body was fitted around 140k.

My 04 VDP is about to turn 219k. It runs very well. Both engine and trans are strong. I swapped out the air shocks for steel coil overs some time ago. I think good maintenance is the key, especially with oil changes and looking after the trans with fluid and filter pan changes. I purchased with 144k in December of 2012 and do a lot of highway driving. I'd like to push 300k and maybe even more.

Great to see many high miles being achieved! Except for the shocked, what about the suspension and all those many rubber bushings, have you all completely changed all of them $$$ to maintain ride quality? Just trying to understand what such parts had to be replaced vs nice to have? This aspect is on the minds of many as bushing boots are starting to fail at the 8+ years old level.

Only 15K to go to reach 200....Engine still working, other mechanicals not fairing so well. New Shocks on rear, new trans pan and oil, Rear Diff leaking... You know what, I'm going to list everything that is wrong with my car at 185K...

1. Wing Mirrors don't always reset after reversing. Probably just need cleaning.
2. Leaking rear diff at shaft connection, have to top it up every couple of thou miles.
3. Today noticed high level brake light not working.
4. No fabric covering sunroof slider.
5. Drooping fabric in head liner.
6. Flickering Headlights that cut out every now and again. Ballast or bulbs?
7. No undertray or lower radiator valance.
8. No bonnet fire guard/sound proofing.
9. No plastic clips holding radiator/headlight cover in place.
10. Rear driver side window doesn't go down using driver master.
11. All suspension bushings are shot and need replacing.
12. Wrong size tyres fitted to vehicle (too wide and low profile) .
13. Plastic handle trim missing off boot /wheel cover/ battery cover.
14. Transmission is jerky at pull off and between 1st and 2nd gear.
15. Hail damage all over the car.
16. Sat Nav is still using the 2001/2 DVD version, Half of Dallas is not included (haha).
17. Noisy ( but working) AC compressor.

Actually not bad for a 12 year old car with 185K miles on it, bought at auction.

Oh, and my love / hate relationship with it, so I'm probably going to get it to 200K just to **** it off.....

So a supercharged 05 with 125 that was CPO and then service contracted should not scare me away? Actually, I think with 125, it's less scary than 90-100k because it must have been maintained to get to 125k especially with all the service covered mileage.

Any thoughts on what could go wrong, save for anything, at 125k?
