Default Wipers not touching the glass

Hi all
Need a bit of help with my windscreen wipers.
The drivers side (uk) is not pressed against the windscreen so when it moves to wipe, it moves as normal but doesn't touch the windscreen to clear the water.
I got the car like this from auction so have no idea if something got bent or what caused it.
Does anyone know what it can be?
Is it something common that someone can help me sort out?
Ive not tried anything yet, I just done other work on the car and it was too cold to stay outside any longer.
I have attached a photo.
Thanks in advance

Can you photo from a bit further away, and also from the other direction, please. However first glance, it looks as if the blade is damaged.

... or the wiper arm. Shouldn't be hard to fix.

If the arms have been off, then possible swapped left and right

Maybe wiper arms not fully seated to spline shafts?

Thanks for your replies.
Ive attached a better photo.
I will try swap it with the other side to see what happens. Last time i removed the whole arm I cracked a windscreen on my old X type so lets see what happens this time.
The arm doesn't look bent so not sure what can be bent.
The current wiper blade isn't stiff and still flexible. so I know its not the metal strip on the blade being stiff.

Will come back after I've swapped it to let you guys know and maybe it can help someone else

There looks to be something wrong with the arm, not the blade here. The arm should be pressing, using spring pressure, that arm onto the screen. Either the arm spring is sacked-out or broken or the arm has not been correctly secured to the drive shaft.
