Default X350 Amber Traction Control Light On

Just been looking at photos of an 2006 X350 for sale and I see that the amber traction control warning light is on - does this mean that the traction control has failed or has it just been turned off? Greatly appreciate info on what this light means and the likely cost of resolving it. Many thanks

Like written in the UK forum, the traction control may just be deactivated by the driver via the button in the center console. Either request a new picture with running engine and dark traction-control light or best to check live at the car.

I might be just a bad wheel sensor but you would need to scan for codes first
