XJR Gear Shifter Knob
Hi everyone,
Went to swap out my XJR gear shifter knob from another used shifter assembly I purchased on the cheap ages ago.
Well, should've left the knob on the donor shifter assembly as it is now in my car.
Had to swap out the analog clock on dash. It was malfunctioning (not keeping time)
One of the screws went into the shifter assembly. When looking in there with my flashlight I found the screw but also part of the grey plastic piece that the shifter shaft sits on.
Back to the knob.
Do not attempt to remove. Jaguar used red loctite on the knob. Wound up having to epoxy the metal shaft back into the knob after getting it off the shifter.
Ideally your supposed to spin back the bottom metal piece and spin the knob off.
Not like the wood knob. The XJR knob will just spin and spin on the metal shaft. You literally have to pull the knob off...
You heard it here first.
But if someone is looking for a XJR knob - I now have one... all cleaned up!

I said "why not"... there was not much on the net about it either.
Oh well..

Not a native Spanish speaker, here, but go ogle finds anecdotal evidence that at least one jorno 'back in the day' claimed the original meaning of 'camaro' was "loose bowels".
Fitting for a muscle car meant to s*t n' git, braking, negotiating curves or corners, 'optional', yah?
So the motive may be questionable, but the spelling seems spot on.
