Hi... I'm new to the forum. Looks nice.
The windshield mounted rear view mirro wiggles when hitting bumps in the road and it eventually falls down. The part actually attached to the windshield is firmly attached... it's just extension arm that breaks free. Then the mirror just hangs from the wire connected to it. I see it getting loose and reattach it, but my wife is shall we say less skilled. She'll let it dangle all day long. Anyways, when I reattach it, it more or less clicks into place, but it's not that firm. Is there a way to tighten it down so it doesn't fall off anymore? I've looked it over several times, but nothing seems to work. And, of course, the manual is useless when it comes to this type of thing.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry, but you are in review mirror jail. Need to know the number of wires and the color of the electrical connector and I might be able to find one for you.

Simple and easy solution that has worked for me over the years: get some E6000 or similar adhesive and apply a little dab with a q-tip to the ball on the mirror end of the mounting bracket. Rotate the ball to spread the coverage, then rotate the ball every which way as the glue dries. It will get stiffer and stiffer as the glue dries. Start with a very thin layer and work your way up to the proper resistance, although one layer, as I recall, worked for me. Low tech and easy!

Thanks teddyboy41, but I doubt the OP will receive much help from a reply to an 8 year old thread
But that being said, the problem being described isn't related to the ball joint, it is related to the metal clip that the mirror base (that is glued to the windshield) clips onto.
The metal clip can loosen up and then the mirror will work loose with vibration and fall off the window. Mine does this.
The clip is pretty tough spring metal that doesn't respond well to bending but I've read if one is gentle it can be bent a bit to try to tighten the fit back up.

I can confirm that gentle bending can work! Did mine a few years ago - still OK.
