97 VDP - Schizophrenic Windshield Wipers
Recently purchased a black 97 VDP in excellent condition with just under 100K. Used to sell 'em back when it was new, so I knew exactly what I wanted, last of the L6s. The car is everything I remembered and expected, but I do have one small problem. The windshield wipers have taken to not working when called upon and working when not. They seem to have developed a mind of their own. Has anyone else encountered and been able to solve this problem? If so, how? Thanks in advance.

Hey,
The wipers on my '96 VDP worked intermittently. It finally dawned on me that when the wipers did work it had to do with the position of the tilt function of the steering wheel. So I traced the wires in the steering column. Found one broken one and after I fixed that the problem was gone.
The only other thought I have is to check the grounding or even adding an auxiliary ground. I've done that too.
