Hello all, Does anyone know how to repair the ABS module or a reputable place to have mine repaired. I have read a solder joint typically needs re-sodering. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have a 97 XJ6-L 4.0 Liter normaly aspirated.

You can also tap the side of the module under the hood with a rubber hammer, or your hand, if the light goes out after a restart, this will confirm it is the solder joint problem. I have been doing this for several years, once or twice a year and have never progressed to actually getting it fixed properly:icon_lol
My experience is that the light goes out after shutdown/restart EVERY time, rubber hammer or no.....but if you have C1095, it will illuminate after 50 yards or so of forward motion.
The TC light is probably the result of the ABS problem, the TC can't work without the ABS. The wheel speed sensors are a common issue causing the ABS fail. They can get very dirty. They need checking and maybe a cleaning, along with the tooth wheel that each sensor reads. Also in this case, the ABS light will reset, but then cause a light again at about the 50 yard line as the module fails to read all four wheel sensors.
The colored pairs are the sensors and will read 1300 ohms .
If you spin the tire in the proper direction you should see about 1 volt AC but this will not see debris influence until you get up to a higher speed .
The sensors are plastic bodied and metal shelled and break easy so spray with penetrate in advance , no car jacking needed . Still do not pray out too hard . Sensors are expensive if you can find them /
Sensor face cleaning of the debris does workin many cases but not if the 1300 ohm reading is off meaning bad inductor or bad connection .
I've had an intermittent ABS (No traction-control fitted) light over the past month or so. Quite different from the C1095 that goes away with each shutdown and reliably returns after 50 yards or so of driving. This one would alight randomly and remain on until shutdown. 90% of the time, it would clear after shut-down and stay off for some days or weeks. Occasionally, it would remain on at startup - Not waiting on the 50 yard line. Finally had a chance to read the codes this weekend:
B1342 - Control Module Failure
C1267 - Disturbance Detection
2 attempts to clear them failed.
Swapped out the ABS Module with another one I'd previously mended due to C1095 (After a bit of rummaging around in my "stash" of labeled boxes and finding it)
Re-checked codes and all-good. No ABS lighted on the 51 mile commute this morning.
