There are two bushings that mount the bar to the frame and two links.

Hi Juliesjag69,

If you will click on your user name in the upper right hand corner of this page and select the top item in the dropdown menu (User CP), you can visit your Control Panel. Look in the left column for Edit Signature. There, you can add the model and year of the Jag you are inquiring about, so others will be able to give you the most accurate replies. Assuming Julie's Jag is an X300, the parts diagram below may be helpful.

You can find parts diagrams and part numbers at Jaguar Classic Parts, the parts service of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Here's the link to the above diagram that includes the part names and numbers:

Anti Roll Bar and Lower Fulcrum Tie - Parts For XJ Series from (V)720125 to (V)812255 (X300) | Jaguar Classic Parts UK

The anti-roll bar bushes that RJ237 mentioned are Part 3 in the diagram (only the left side bush is shown, but there is also one on the right). The links are Part 7 (one at each end of the anti-roll bar).

Cheers,

Don

Note that the XJ12 (and the XJR) use a different sway bar bushing than the XJ6, due to the thicker bar. CCC2806 fits my USA XJ12. The bushings for the XJ12 should have a red dot on them. I just put a new pair on last week.

Interestingly, the XJ12 subframe is somewhat different, and the U-shaped brackets are mounted horizontally on the subframe. The XJ6's are positioned vertically, as in the diagram above that Don posted.

Yeah, and one of the few "cheap" parts on these cars. The bushing is only about $5

I would be interesting to measure the sway bar and bushing shackle/bracket to see if any poly aftermarket options exist.

Like these:

F-Body Heavy Duty Sway Bar Mount Kit- 35mm & 22mm Sway Bar Kits | UMI Performance Inc.

Some of the guys on the Riviera Performance forum have found them to hold up very well, both the bushing and bracket.

Probably a good question for someone like XJREngineer (Andy), but I wonder if the XJR sway bars would benefit (or not) from sway bar lateral movement limiting clamps like the following:

McMaster-Carr

A lot of the Subaru WRX guys have an opinion that it helps the handling, and their bars come OEM with them on some models.

These clamps go on the bar beside the bushing to (in theory) limit/stop the bar from moving side to side.

Default "Locks" not necessary

....think I've answered my own question

Looking at the diagram for the front sway/anti-roll bar, the shape of the bar itself would seem to keep it from being able to move much horizontally. So any sort of locking clamp to do so would be unnecessary.

Looking at the attached diagram for the rear bar, it appears there is already a welded stop on the bar itself. I'll know for certain once I replace the bushings later in the week. But again, looks like these accessory clamps would be unnecessary.

May be interested in XJRengineer's (Andy's) heim jointed front sway bar end links though, and maybe something similar for the rear.
