Default Baby hit 200k miles

My beloved 97 XJ6 "Baby" hit a great milestone today. Sorry I couldn't get shot of actual 200,000 as I was driving on highway and had no access to camera.
- Still runs and drives like new.
- Still looks fantastic.
- Still the most reliable car I have ever owned.

Looking forward to the 300k :-)

The X300 certainly is bullet proof.

I part exchanged mine at 162,800 miles just for a change although it was still running perfectly. After the reliability of the X300, the X308 I then had next was the most troublesome of all my Jaguars and I only kept it for a year!

Congratulations, Erik!

Your Jag's achievement is an inspiration!

Cheers,

GO BABY GO!!

Yours is a good example for the non-believers out there! That's a double-take number when first seen.

The X300 is certainly a great car. I've been thinking a lot about which Jaguar could replace mine someday, but honestly I can't see anything else taking its place. Adding to it, perhaps....

Adding is the way to go. Very little beats a driveway full of Jags. Good job keeping "Baby" on the road for 200K.

I'm alternating DD's between a '95 (263,750) and a '97 (201,615).
Got a '96 LWB on-deck needing significant re-work (nothing needed in Eng/Transmission, though) waiting to join the fray at 185k miles.....

Congratulations! I think the key to longevity is constant use and timely maintenance. The X300 is a car that you can use everyday, unlike the sporty convertibles that often sit unused in the garage.

You will be able to use more throttle now that the running in period is complete! Here's to the next 200000.
