Yep, you've figured out where they go. To the 2 trunk lid lights and tag lights. Best bet is to measure out 2 inch lengths of wire then solder on & wrap in electrical tape. Anything less than 2 inches gets a little frustrating to work with.

I just metered out the wires in the rear light control box to figure out where to tap off for a trailer wiring harness (brake, directional, running, reverse). I wanted to draw up a "map" of the connectors to show what powers what light. Maybe I'll move forward on that project over the weekend.

I haven't forgotten about you. The hitch and wiring module came yesterday - finally. So, I should have that map done very soon - that's if I ever want to move my utility trailer again.

Here you go - the rear lights that I tested on the white connector at the rear light computer.

I tapped these wires to control a wiring harness module for trailer lights. Luckily, in the US for a 4-pin connector, I only needed the tail, indicator, and brake lights. No needs for reverse or rear fogs.

Hi all, sorry to hijak the thread, but my boot/trunk lights are hanging down, and not fixed - there doesn't seem to be anything there to fix them to, is there a couple of fixings i can buy to secure them?

Thanks!

No. They should be glued to the boot trim. That's how they come from the factory.

Problem is that the holes are bigger than the lights, so there's obviously something missing somewhere...

Sorry, my last post probably wasn't very clear. I didn't mean the lights are glued, I meant the brackets were glued, they are part of the trim so you can't buy them separately.

There is just a sort of frame around the aperture in the trim. See the picture here

Check inside your boot trim, they may have fallen off and just need gluing back on. The lights just clip to these - no other brackets.
