Default Car won’t start in Park

Having an issue with getting the car started in park. It will start when I shift into neutral. All the indicator lights on the shifter are reading correctly. However I’ve noticed recently it takes an extra wiggle to make sure it’s in park. It rolled back on me a couple times. Is this a neutral safety switch issue? Can that cable be adjusted?

If you place your hand on the ignition switch, do you feel a click as you move the shift lever out of park detent ?

The click is a key lock solinoid from the not in park switch in the upper area of the shift box

When I turn the key I do hear a click from the ignition switch and as far as the interlock it does lock it into park. Still no start

Does the starter solenoid relay click by feeling it as another relay close by will also click and you will hear both

The starter solenoid relay gets a command ground provided by the BPM

For the BPM to provide this command ground it has to have agreements / . enables like a ground path through the ignition switch and other things

Pic coming

If it rolls when placed in park then your selector cable needs to be adjusted.
This would be the first thing to do and then see if the starter will engage in park.
There should be a sticky on how to adjust the selector cable.

adjusting the selector cable is also something on my list to do.
as occasionally when i put it in park it is not quite in park, and i need to take it out and put it back in to get it to start.
very occasionally.
and going from D into R i need to move the lever just up past R before locking it into R as to engage the reverse lights and my newly added reverse camera\
