The check engine light came in on my 96 Vanden Plas (XJ6). The local parts shop used a scanner that read "misfire in cylinder 2." I changed all the plugs and re-positioned the coil from cylinder 2 to cylinder 1. The parts guy helped me to erase the code, so as to turn the check engine light off. If the light comes on again and the code reads "misfire in cylinder 1" I'll know that the coil needs replacing. However, the scanner also read code P1313 - what does that code mean?
