Daimler Double Six 1996
Hi
Iv had some recent problems with my Daimler. Coolant related after the top right rad pipe blew off.
Iv done some research and I'm going to change the two thermostats and the pipes and clips.
Once this is done il be draining the coolant and flushing the system.
I'm looking for info on the best way to flush, and also if this engine needs to be bled afterwards. Iv seen on a few forums that it does but the info match my car.
Thank you for your help

Hi Tom, and welcome.
You may get a better response if you were to post this question in the V12 forum, which is X305.

You might get some answers here, but mainly we are Straight 6 people here!

The V12 engine in the X300 series body has the same radiator cooling fan control from the 2 temperature position switch on the left aft lower area of the radiator
This is the 3 wire connector that has one black wire and 2 whites
If you take a paper clip from the black to the white you will get the left only
Remove the clip and jumper the black to the other white and you will get both
No need to run the engine just the key to on position
This is a low current control circuit so no arcing hazard
This does not test the switch itself
You can take the right fan connector and bring it over to the left fan for troubleshooting but do not pry too hard on the lock clip as it will break if pulled out too far
The white fan control module is not interchangeable with the later V8 X308 series black fan control module
water sometimes gets inside the module ruining it
