Hi roberwin02,
Look through the downloads available here:

This link may also be helpful:
Jag-lovers' Ebooks Book Index
The Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) with parts diagrams and part numbers can be downloaded at the link below and installed on your computer:

If the link for the X300 Electrical Guide is still broken, send me your email address in a private message and I'll email it to you.
And don't forget to click the THANKS button on caldercay's helpful post informing you of the existence of the Service Manual. It's a nice way to let other members know we appreciate their kind replies.
Cheers,
Don

Things are very different for the DIY'er possibly taking on Jaguar maintenance and repairs for the first time.
The diagram from the Parts Catalogue is the best illustration I can find.

The Alternator is fixed to a Mounting Bracket (item 1) with a Pivot Bolt (item 3). Adjustment for the drive belt is provided by the Adjuster Bolt (item 9).
I always prefer to disconnect the battery before working on an Alternator. Not absolutely essential but good practice.
To remove the Alternator:
1. slacken or remove the outer locknut (item 10 - arrowed in blue)
2. slacken the locknut (item 4) on the Pivot Bolt (item 3)
3. release the tension on the Adjuster Bolt by slackening the inner locknut (item 10)
4. you may need to slacken Flanged Nut (item 11) to allow the Adjuster Bolt to move
5. with the tension off the drive belt, take it off the Alternator pulley. No need to remove it from other pulleys
6. remove electrical connections to the Alternator - note the position of nuts/washers
7. remove Setscrew (item 14) - this releases the top of the Alternator
8. remove the Locknut (item 4) and Washer (item 5) on the Pivot Bolt (item 3)
9. remove the Pivot Bolt whilst holding the weight of the Alternator - this releases the bottom of the Alternator which can then be removed.
As it says in all the manuals, replacement is the reversal of removal.
If this is too basic, please don't be offended. If it helps, award yourself a beer when the Alternator is on the bench!

A lot of places say you need to remove the roll bar to get the alternator out from below, but I got mine out through the top. I removed the air box (well, mine has an induction kit) and air flow sensor for better access to the top bolts and the connectors on the rear of the alternator. This gave me enough room to pull the alternator out of the top of the engine bay. It needed to be a specific rotation to fit between the water pump and the fans, and to avoid the pipes in the way, but it can be done.

Before removing the alternator there is a fuse to check
I found it easiest to remove the long pivot bolt from the bottom and the rest including final alternator removal from the top
The long pivit bolt looks to have a long bushing at the fwd clevis point but is a short bushing , the clevis may seem to hold the alternator from lifting out but is only pinched and can be levered out with a long screwdriver
