I tried to get out of my car today and the inside handle felt like it what disconnected and then I tried the unlock button on the console and all the other doors opened except the drivers door. It looks like it wants to go up but nothing happens. I tried the key in the door and the key is hard to turn to unlock it. And even with that the other doors only open. When I use the key the driver side door only makes like a jamming noise. What could be the problem and how do I fix it? I don't want to climb through the passenger door anymore lol. All the other doors unlock but quickly lock agian because the driver door is staying locked. I can open the door from the outside if I turn the key fully then pull the handle

 

You'll need to take the door card off to see what is going on.

Could be the rod has come off the locking motor.

 

How do you remove the door card?

 

Got it to open from the outside now it just won't open from the inside. Do I need to replace the inside handle. It still feels disconnected

 

If you do a search there are plenty of threads about door card removal.

Once you have the card off it's easy to see the issue.

 

UPDATE : I've taken the door panel off and everything looks to be connected to the locking motor. I noticed its a thick black cover around the wire is it possible the inner threaded wire leading from the handle snapped somewhere? Also the drivers door is sometimes not opening from the outside handle. I have to pull the handle and lock the door and then it will get back in sync with the locks. Would should be my next step?
