just asdded oil and now car will not start

 

Is the starter rotating or engine just not lighting off ?

An oil fill is unrelated

On the starter you can verify the starter solenoid relay clicks by putting your finger on it .

On the engine you can verify the # 1 fuel pump relay clicks and you can hear the pump .

When you say it doesn't start, do you mean it won't turn over at all, or will crank but won't start?

Since the oil filter is right by the starter, any chance the starter wiring was knocked loose?

Well well well jolly good fellow....too much oil in a jaguar s-type will make the vehicle crank n crank just dandi o mighty........... HOWEVER engine won't start i say. No worries.....
take it from me Charlie Chaplin and do suck out a quart of oil using a long thin tubing..... Cheerios my good fellow ....❤️
