Default Knocking from the rear of the car

Hello all, What bush causes the rear of the car to knock over uneven roads?

Looking in the history of my car it had in 2010 x2 Rear Shock absorbers MNA3540CD

and also x2 subframe bushes MJA2595AC

What bush do i need to order ?

Well normally it is the A-frame bushes that fail and cause knocking, but you seem to have had these done recently. The part numbers you quote are for the Sport suspension. Other thing is the top shock bushes, but again, these have been replaced.

Puzzled !

You'll just have to have it up in the air and carry out an inspection.

The top bushes ... are they part of the shock then... not separate.. so the last owner couldn't forget to do them then ?

Some brands of shockers come WITH required bushes, some DO NOT.

There is also a "spring seating" bushing thingy that should ALWAYS be changed whilst in there.

I note from another post you have going that this is an XJR???, so it will have a rear sway bar, and there could be the rattle/knock for sure.

Is it a big clunk? On one of my XJRs the transmission mount foam bushing is missing, (worn out, gone) and when i go over certain bumps the transmission bounces up and the washer that holds the (missing)bushing clunks against the cross member as the tranny bounces up. ..food for thought.
