hello everyone , question ? if i disconnect my battery theres a chance my radio will not work again? 1995 xj6 if this happens and i cannot get a code for radio and i install a aftermarket radio from best buy or whereever will it work or because the factory radio was dead will this leave the new radio dead as well? i have not disconnected anything and everything factory radio is currently working im just trying to prepare for anything i may need to do in future?? thanks

 

No worries. The USA-market X300s did not have security radios. No codes to worry about

If you're planning on replacing the factory radio, make sure that whoever does it realizes they're going to need a wiring harness adapter. Do a search in here, there's a couple of members who sell them for less than $30. Best Buy may not even do the install, because this wiring harness adapter may not be readily available, at least here in the States.
