New keyless remote, how to save mirror position?
Got two new (to me) keyless remotes, programmed to car perfectly. Every time I double click to unlock all the doors, the mirrors move to a different position and I have to adjust back. How do I tie the remote to my desired mirror position? I have searched in the manual and online, but to no avail.
Thanks!
Thanks!
With the windows you have to hold up the window switch to roll up for a bit so it learns the up limit
This same concept may be in play with the mirrors in that after you have them in position it has to be told of the setting / position
This might be accomplished by holding the lFOB lock button for a certain amount of time vs. a short bip
If you have the memory 1 , 2 , 3 buttons on the driver door control a memory button depression over a long period may at play

All the info on setting the memory positions (seat, column, mirrors) is in the owners manual.
I used to '****-off' customers by copying the manual pages and setting them the on the seat when they requested info on operations covered in the booklet supplied with the car AS NEW.
The service manager would call me into the office to 'try' to scold me when the customers felt 'embarrassed' that the info was in the same booklet.(also left on the seat)
(don't mess with your mechanic when he is RIGHT)

I read the manual from cover to cover. It says to set the memory with the memory buttons, but I don't have any memory buttons. If I don't have that option, I'm curious why the mirrors are moving with the keyless entry unlock.
The mirror movement module is separate from the master door control module even though the control joystick is on the door module
there are 2 types of seats , one without the memory repositioning on exiting the car
What I found with mine on the windows was the ribbon connector on the door module had the wire socket lock bar loose letting the sockets move away from the pins
A loose connection may account for your mirror anomaly

It could be an error. When I hit the remote button once nothing happens, when I hit it twice to unlock all the doors, the mirrors move all the way to the left. I will investigate further. Thanks much for your responses.
