rear abs sensor problem
Afternoon guys,
Having a dilemma with my rear abs sensor on my 94 3.2.
The car went for mot but the rear wheel bearing had gone so far a to destroy the old sensor.
The garage have replaced the hub but of course the only place I can locate a new sensor is jaguar @ £190 which I point blank refuse.
Now question is my spares car is a 97 with the later style sensor (with separate lead),is this interchangeable with the earlier type?
Thanks in advance
Ant

Hi Ant,
Since you have to pass MOT and you list a price in pounds sterling, may we presume you are located in the U.K.? If so, does that make your '94 3.2 an X300 or an XJ40 (in the U.S. a '94 is an XJ40, but we didn't get the 3.2 engine).
And if you're in the U.K., is your '97 an X300 or an X308?
It's helpful to others if you put the year, model and engine of your cars in your signature line so others know exactly what models you're inquiring about.
It's a simple matter to look up the part numbers for the wheel sensors at jaguarclassicparts.com to see if they are the same for both cars, or if the part number for the sensor for the '94 was superseded to the same part number as the one for the '97.
Cheers,
Don
