Default Removal of supercharger?

I am currently in the process of removing the charger on my 1995 model, trying to gain easy access to all the radiator hoses that are nicely jammed in between and underneath.4

So far i have removed the intake manifold, but the charger i can not work out how to remove without having to physically lift out the engine.

Is there an easier way to remove the bottom hose? or to remove the charger. (i wouldn't mind being able to get the charger out and give it a good clean and service while I'm at it)

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated

The supercharge and throttle body come out as one piece. From underneath near the oil filter undo the clamp that holds the charged air hose to the intercooler then you can lift the supercharge and TB out as one big heavy piece.

Mark you vacuum hoses and coolant lines with tape so you know where they go when you put it back. Also be very careful working around the oil pressure sender and the knock sensor they are brittle and can snap if you hit them wrong.

Yeah, I can see how that works, just the bolts underneath are near impossible to get to, I've had a chat with my mechanic, and from what it sounds like i just have to very slowly try and get it out with a small ratchet spanner one mm at a time

The bolts on the lower supercharger itself? They are two 15MM's IIRC and you can use a swivel sock on them and zip them right out. Not a "swivel" but an actual sock with a swivel built into it.

I finaly got it out, the two 15mm nuts on the bottom of the charger where ridiculous tight, and using a 1/2 breaker bar to crack them.

Now to replace all the hoses, and give the rest of the intake a good clean.

On that not, should i drain all the oil that has collected over the years into the impela of the charger? or Should i leave it or what?

I did. Also on suggestion of this forum I replaced the coolant rail to block gaskets while I was in there. They are impossible without the supercharger removed.

I didn't even think about the gasket for the rail, I've already ordered all the hoses, but I probably should do that as well while I'm there
