Removing wishbone tie from differential
Hi guys and gals,
I am in the process of removing the wishbone tie from a 97 XJR X300 differential. Unlike an X308 where the wishbone tie simply slides onto the tie studs, it appears with the X300 the bushings are bound to the studs somehow. Do I burn the bushings out until the tie slides off the studs or am I approaching this in an obscene brut fashion? Any tip or trick would be appreciated or I give it 15 more mins of burning and then the angle grinder comes out to play. Thanks!

They are bound to the lower studs by CORROSION!!!!!!!!!!
They are supposed to slide off just like the X308.
If and When you get them off, you might try some anti-seize compound for the next time.
