Default Sovereign seat repair

I have a 1995 Sovereign 4.0 and have been making some minor repairs for the past couple of weeks. I have repaired the driver's seat leather to a pretty good standard- evened out all the cracks and it's looking pretty great.

The problem is, the back of the driver's seat is not attached properly. When I bought the car, the previous owner showed me how the top right bracket was not properly attached. I think this part of it must be broken, it can't be reattached simply by manoeuvring it about. He told me that I could get a replacement part for £20 on ebay, but I am not sure what I should even be searching for and what I would do when it arrives!

At the moment it is being held in place with tape. The rest of the car is in pretty great condition and I would love to get it fixed properly without spending too much. If anyone has any advice (or even just to direct me towards what part I might need to replace) that would be brilliant.

Cheers

I have seen many jaguars with worn driver seats but pretty good passengers seats. If fellows in the LHD and RHD regions could exchange their passenger seats that would be ideal........shipment is another issue.

I mean I have fixed the leather, the problem is the back panel of the driver's seat is loose. Even if I swapped them, it would be noticeable.

From memory, the hard seat back is held in place by two screws at the bottom of the back and then two fir-tree clips toward the top. These latter clips are only visible when the back is eased away from the seat(after removing the bottom two screws. It is quite an easy repair!

Yes, this is what I did. Got a UK passenger leather cover seat for my RHD Jag. Excellent results.
I can recommend a UK supplier by PM. I suppose he can get you the other broken parts you need, because seats is his business.

Regards,
Jorge

You have read my mind. I thought about this a long time ago, but thought the logistics were too difficult. Could you send me the details thanks
