Question Spring assister included with front shocks?

Can anyone confirm if aftermarket front shocks for the X300 (e.g. Bilstein) come with the "spring assister" bump-stop?

Shocks all seem to come with the various bushings, but all the illustrations fail to show if the "spring assister" inside the gaitor is included.

Since the "spring assister" is normally about $60 each, it is good to know ahead of time if they are included with a new set of shocks.

I don't remember seeing my Bilsteins having the bump stops. I was able to compress them pretty far when I put all my weight on them

Hrmm, that makes me think the new shocks didn't come with the "spring assisters" (bump stop) possibly.... hrmm, anyone know?

It is part 13 in the diagram below, MNA2150AA (for all models):

Hmmm ... 5cm of hard rubber ... wonder if they make them in generic fit poly?

Another owner told me in email that he recalls the shocks coming with the bump stops.

I guess we'll only know for sure once a vendor can confirm or someone who just put some on can recall for certain. I've sent an email to Bilstein as well.

I can confirm that Bilsteins come with the new bump stops, as I just did this project. They come with everything less the bottom shock bushing. Cheap to buy anywhere.

Are the original Bilsteins the one we can send out for rebuilding? If so, does the rebuild include the all the kit shown above in the diagram?

Default I don't think the fronts are rebuildable

According to my last conversation with Bilstein, the OEM front XJR shocks are not rebuildable:

But to be certain you would have to send them the stamped model number (not Jag part number) from the shock and a photo of the top of the shock. If the shock is crimped/welded shut it isn't rebuildable, so they say.

Just confirmed from Bilstein that the "spring assistor" (bump stop) is included with the HD(B6) shocks. I didn't ask about the comfort shocks, but I would assume the same.

My Bilstein Touring Class shocks came with the bump stop bushing you are referring to as well.
