Steering wheel column motor
Hi
Just happened with my X300/94 that the steering wheel column does not move any more up. The motor for the reach works both ways, but the motor for the tilt only worked downwards until it reached the lowest position and now it does not move any more. How could I get it up? It is a bit tricky to drive when the steering wheel is down on my knees.
Any help is appreciated.

If the tilt is the lower exposed motor of the 2 ( other being the reach / extension motor ) it is very easy to get to
The main drag on the mechanism is the geared position sensor package on the cars fwd side of the moto

You can remove this sensor package and run the motor with a battery charger , the package pops off by hand with a large ear clip to disengage
High current arcing precautions
You'll drive the car with the rotary switch in the off position
The hardened grease inside the sensor gearing can be replaced to make it work more freely
It is important to note that as you reinstall the sensor package it is " clocked " relative to the tilt position of the steering column to work as a fully functional system
Not hard to do with the battery charger spinning the motor back and forth
