Is this the diaphragm at the top of the engine for cruise control attached to the throttle butterfly tower, a separate and independent vacuum system that has it's own electric vacuum pump
See page 60 and 55 supplemental for the SC
There are 2 versions of EVAP systems , 1 square rectangle vaper canister fwd of the left rear tire , and 2 vapor canisters , one on each side
You will have 2 small coolant fluid hoses fwd and aft on the throttle body throat ( old school anti Carb icing ) on the bottom side and what was missing from mine is a vacuum hose from under the # 3 cylinder intake pipe to the EVAP valve

Yes currently my car is absolutely 100% bone stock except for Andy's timing bracket... so I want to hook everything up the way that it was originally. I've cleaned everything out, of course there was passages completely blocked with soot and oil it was pretty disgusting. I'm going to add the oil catch can in hopes that it'll slow down the contamination process. The car has 200,000 km on it and I don't expect it to get many more but I do want to be able to drive it around reliably, I'm thinking of throwing in a new fuel pump just so I don't end up with that whole fuel pump problem in the middle of a road trip... I really appreciate the link to the pdf. There's a ton of information in there!

The location of the Jaguar separator is fantastic! The other ones I've seen have all been stuck in some weird place and don't look very clean.
I didn't know about the second fuel pump, that is definitely a handy piece of info! Once I finish the octopus hose the car will be ready for some longer trips. Last couple of years I've just been driving around town. I live in Victoria bc, lots of jaguars here I want to take it to the Okanagan, it'll be a rarity there for sure.
Medium gauge jumper wire with blade type connector ends for better pump performance , the pump will run with the keys in your pockets , drains battery , hot at all times
Hi Parker, one more question, do you know where this vacuum line comes from? I took all of us apart a long time ago having a little trouble remembering where everything was ha ha
Aaronhall, your fuel pump concerns can be easily laid to rest, if the modification outlined in my attachment is put in place.
The fact that you already have two fuel pumps in the XJR can be a handy feature.
Thanks John, yes that is nice to know about the fuel pump
do you happen to know where the vacuum line comes from that connects to the fitting in the picture in my comment just above? Reassembling from the octopus hose replacement, what an ordeal to replace a lower rad house, wow.
