Default What is this piece under the hood

The white/yellow piece in this photo is broken, what is this whole thing, i beleive it has something to do with the accelerator/traction control? Thanks for your help.

Might try to glue back together with JB - Weld

Comes in yellow and red version with short 5 min or 4 hour set time before longer cure time

4 hour set time recommended

If you take the top of the actuator apart for more cable access it is a can of worms to be avoided

If you look at the very bottom of the actuator cylinder there are 2 wires that can have the insulation deteriorated and breaking off

On the later model years of the X300 there is an adjustment to the cables to the actuator that effects idle from reading others , I wouldn't touch that yet ( adjustment ) if an idle issue

The actuator is between the cable run from the foot pedal to the throttle butterfly

Idle is a common issue with the supercharged version

Because that gets broken often, I protected mine with a thick roll of cloth wire wrap. If you work on your car, or someone else does, it is an excellent idea to protect it.
