Wheels interchangeable?
I'm looking for winter wheels. I found a website Wheels and Caps that seems to have all kinds of wheels reconditioned and used. I like the look of your BMW wheels and they are only $115/apiece on this site. Do you still use these and did you ever get a Jaguar center cap, also do you use the same lug nuts as the heads on a BMW are usually 17mm and i think on my X300 they are 21mm

Yes, still using these wheels although I have been keeping an eye out for original xjr wheels, or a different type of BMW wheel.
I had the local tire shop install 4 new Cooper Touring CS4 tires the Summer before last as well as all new lug nuts at same time. Not sure of the measurements on the nuts but I do still have the old ones which I can take a look at them if you like.
You will need to search the Web for 68mm centre caps as that is the standard BMW size. The WR ones in my previous post were from the Web, and are far from the same condition lol. Here is a link to the ones I ended up buying:
4pcs Normal 68mm Empty Wheel Center Cap Covers Hubs Chrome Silver Universal | eBay
I'm sure you'd be able to find those BMW wheels like mine cheaper than $115.00 each on your local craigslist unless that is for a refurbished wheel. But then again, if you just want them as Winter wheels then I guess they don't have to be 'mint'. At one point I was going to get a spare and was only quoted $50 through Kijiji. Probably could have talked him down, too.

As an interesting aside, the X300 XJR wheel seems to be polarizing in its appeal.
I've read many posts where the 95-97 XJR wheel is maligned as unattractive and not well executed. Where in other cases, some think it is a very good looking and unique wheel.
I fall into the latter camp, especially now that the wheel is nearly 20 years old.... it looks very unique on the road

I think the X300 XJR wheel is a real standout.
.
Admittedly, I was not too fond of the xjr wheel at first but have grown to liking them. I have access to 3 full sets from as many sellers. The bigger problem is that all 3 sellers are 3-5 hours away from me plus I'm looking at buying all new rubber again. Sigh.
Another curious thing about the X300 XJR wheel is that one often thinks it is a simple brushed aluminum (clear coated) finish, but the cutouts and center hub is actually also painted a light gold tone.
I really only noticed this when I checked out my spare rim, which has never seen the light of day. Its gold accents were very clear. My other four original rims however clearly have had their gold accents fade as they are easy to miss.
BTW, why doesn't (or does it) the X300 XJR wheel have some cool name like later Jaguar wheel models? In the brochures Jaguar simply calls it their "diamond polished" XJR wheel

It's not any more 'cooler' than diamond polished, but it is actually referred to as I think they are
labeled as Sport Cast Alloy. I believe the rest of the x300 line wheels are referred to as diamond polished.
I did not know about the light gold colouring, though. Interesting.

From the 1997 brochure:
"8" x 17" "diamond polished" XJR specific alloy wheels"

Well how-about that, that is really interesting
But based based on how the XJR wheels actually look versus the standard non-XJR wheels, I personally wonder if the concourse document may have it wrong... backwards actually?
I'll have to re-read my three 1995-1997 XJR brochures when I get home to see what they say.
But as I recall, the brochures specifically called out the XJR wheel as being specially "diamond polished" (whatever that means
)

The Jaguar parts catalog calls it "Cast Sports Wheel 8x17", then, further on, one part number for "Cast Diamond Turned", and another part number for " Cast Painted-UK"....all on a single page

Here's some more info which might explain the confusion lol. This is from my brochure entitled "The New 1995 Jaguars"
Apparently the whole line-up are diamond polished but also have their individual names as the photo below suggests (look below the second green horizontal line)

If you end up going with BMW wheels, you could always use these decals on the non-jag centre caps:
4 PCS Wheel Center HUB Caps Badge Emblem Stickers FOR Jaguar 65mm | eBay
