I have no idea if the numbers are correct, but I've cleaned up the formatting from the production numbers link above.
It has been pointed out a few times that Jaguar published their production numbers by calendar year, versus the Fall to Summer schedule that US manufacturers use. So the numbers are a bit skewed in that sense.
For example, I've seen some for sale ads for a 1997 XJR that say "super rare only 318 made" which is true for in that it appears Jaguar only made 318 in the 1997 calendar year. But in the context of the US traditional model year it is likely the production numbers are in the 1500ish range for "1997".
An interesting observation though is that the X300 XJR was clearly one of Jaguar's big sellers from 1994-1997. One might have thought it would have been a relatively exclusive model, but relatively speaking to some of the other models the XJR sold quite well.

Just a guess, might be wrong, but....
Since the USA cars were built to a higher trim lever than the ROW 'poverty level' XJ6s I'm betting that your car reflects in the Sovereign category....even though you won't find 'Sovereign' mentioned anywhere on the car.

In '96 only 19 XJ12 6.0 Sovereign LWB produced hence the "1 of 19" as I own one of these 19 cars. 50,000 miles in concourse condition... well... as close as you can get with 50,000 miles.
