Paul- access to my eBay account (Purchase History) "blocked" on my government network so I cannot confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt the part numbers used. I believe the sensors used are for 2002-2006 Audi A4. And again I had to fabricate a spacer to raise them out of the sensor bore just a little bit to clear the teeth on the sensor wheel. That’s the bearings done. Only problem now is that ABS light is on because I damaged sensor whilst removing it. Now speedometer has stopped working too. Is this because of the damaged ABS sensor?
The sensor I used on the rear of my 97, $39.98 ea. Insert it into the sensor bore until it rests on the reluctor wheel. Measure the gap to the sensor flange and hub; add .030 to that measurement; that is the thickness your spacer needs to be. Visually check gap inside hub with flash light to make sure your sensor is close without touching ABS wheel.

Yes, the rear driver's side ABS wheel speed sensor provides the road speed signal for the speedometer. Your speedo should resume operation when you replace that broken sensor.
To find the sensor connector, follow its wiring harness - I think under the rear seat.
Hi Don, thank you. Had to remove rear seat and abs wire connects to main loom under there. Wish me luck, should be fitting replacement sensor this weekend.
Fitted the Audi ABS sensor, not straight forward had to cut plug off and use original Jag plug, also space out the sensor to clear toothed ring. Speedometer is working again but still got ABS light on. Going for a longer test drive to see if it goes out.
It’s official A4 ABS sensor works on 1994 Xj6, you just have to swap plugs and space the sensor out a bit so it doesn’t catch speed ring in hub. Also found out Mitch must have made rear seat.🤔
Mitch was the best in the business. Sadly he had to retire early when the glamorous lifestyle caught up to him and he started partying at the clubs in Coventry. He got hooked on the spray foam fumes and never recovered....
again, sorry for intruding on the thread, but i thought my update could be useful information for others looking into this thread.
ordered a new hub, took it to the garage, but after a few minutes they called me and said they didn't want to fit it as it was obvious that u joints were the problem. so.. 4 of those ordered and a new appointment set up next week. fingers crossed..

Common causes of the oil pressure gauge reading zero include oil contamination or damage to the oil pressure sensor electrical connector, or the threads on the oil pressure sensor are coated with baked-on oil, which interferes with the ground path of the sensor circuit. It's a one-wire sensor, so the ground path is through the engine block and engine ground strap.
I recently repaired the wire on the oil pressure sensor of an X300 on which a "quick oil change" shop had broken the connector off, then "restored" the connection by simply stripping the wire and wrapping it through the hole in the sensor spade terminal. I stripped a little more nsulation off the end of the wire and de-greased it and the sensor spade terminal with zero-residue electronic cleaner spray, then crimped a new female spade terminal onto the wire and completed the connection.
Sometimes my oil pressure gauge reads zero but then if I go over a bump it comes back on. Recently I have used car more often and it seems better ?

Try disconnecting the sensor connector and flushing with electronic cleaner. It's easy to acces the sensor on an X300 - it's right beside the oil filter. If the connector fits loosely on the sensor spade, you may be able to tighten it by carefully squeezing the contacts with needle-nosed pliers.
