Default Rear wheel bearings for XJ6 (X350)

Has anybody any idea what size this "special tool" is for replacing rear wheel bearings on my 2004 Jaguar. Better still can anybody recommend a good place to buy these tools?

Thanks,

Andyboy321.

Welcome to the forum Andyboy321,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I very much doubt anyone outside the Jaguar Dealer network will have the full collection listed in the X350 Service Manual:

Unusual to find that standard workshop tools cannot be used or adapted to carry out maintenance procedures on a Jaguar.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x350-x358-28/ to the X350 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Hi Super Mod,

Sorry for the slow reply to you, (and the others) but I'm a newby to forums.

I'm very grateful for the obvious trouble you've gone to. It will be very useful.

Thank you.

I posted the drawings because it often helps to know what a "special tool" looks like when trying to find an alternative that will do the job.

I've never been stuck using a variety of universal pullers and appropriate diameter sockets to match the size of the bearing I'm trying to remove. Have sometimes had to enlist the help of my local garage to press replacements in.

Let us know how you get on.

Graham
