Default XJR Track day

Normally I have a turbocharged e30 BMW racecar, but it was the last track day of the season, and the big cat needed to be played with. How many others have tracked their XJs?

In a prior life I used to slalom my XJ6, XJS, and MGs.

Here's the Ser III Xj6 on the slalom course a Portland International Raceway

Cheers

How did the car do? I haven't really gone fast with mine around corners.

Nice!

We took a pair of X350 XJR's to Wakefield Park a few weeks back https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ck-day-105254/

She's big and heavy, the auto transmission is the kicker, it's never in the right spot to get out of a turn. The brakes never let me down, and performed. She understeered as you'd expect something of this size to do, but overall, and especially for what the car is, it performed well and was a blast.

The Series 3 looks more out of place than the XJR, that's AWESOME!

These cars are much happier on a track than an auto X course, and even happier again on the highway. Glad I'm not the only one!

I'm an auto X nut, so I've slalomed everything you can think of. My DD in the winter/tow rig has seen plenty of track time too.

Heh heh, yeah, the big Jag sedans are not something you toss around like a sportscar

There is a novice trackday at Oulton Park on the 14th Feburary, I am planning on taking my XJR there. My Jag has been on Silverstone, Oulton, Blyton Park and Elvington airfield.
