Default 01 xj8 with a 05 type s supercharged engine...

Simple question, I have an 01 xj8 base with a blown headgasket. I have a 2005 type s 4.2 supercharged engine. Can I with out too much difficulty install that engine in that car? Maybe get the ecu from an 01 xj8 supercharged and swap it in?
fYI I had bought the motor for a 2006 xkr that can be swapped in with swapping over a few parts, but that cor got totaled.

I doubt you will get any real helpful answer as this subject has been BEATEN TO DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sell both cars and buy a supercharged Jaguar if that is what interests you.

It can be done just as putting an LS Chevy motor is possible.

There are cars that have aircraft engines installed (they really FLY)

If you are serious, put both cars side-by-side and make TWO-INTO-ONE.
I hope you are proficient at electronics and networks.

good luck.

if you swap the upper pan heads and timing cover you could convert it into an NA motor

it would be a dog though
