I got the same code a few months ago. I ordered a Bosch #15627 off Ebay. The cost then was @ $80. It's a direct fit. No problems since install.

I ordered one off of Amazon for about $81.00 -- should be here next week. I'll report back at that time. Thanks for all the help.

I replaced the O2 sensor today, not a bad job, just a bit tedious.

This is what I did -- this is the one on the driver's side, the upper one, pretty easy to see and with a flashlight I could easily tell where it was plugged in.

I did not remove anything other than the old O2 sensor. There was enough room for me to put my long adjustable wrench and my long 22mm open end wrench between the hoses and wires and could move the wrench a very small part of an arc. After dinking with it for a while, I moved the O2 sensor slightly and then it was hand-tight and I could squeeze my hand down there and take it out the rest of the way.

Putting the new one in was a bit of a trick since the loose wire kept twisting and unscrewing the sensor while I was trying (with one hand) to get it started -- once started, however, it was easy to finger tighten and then put the wrench on it to tighten it just a bit more. Not sure I got it tight enough, but time will tell!

Plugging it in was a breeze, took just a few seconds to route the wire and plug it in.

I started the car, was disappointed to see the CEL and the P1647 code and a rough idle, but I erased the codes and the P1647 and CEL went away but then I had a P1613 and a P0300 until I shut it down and re-started it. Then no codes and no CEL. I didn't have time to drive around, but will do that later today or tomorrow to see if it's working okay.

It took me an hour or so, but that's because I'm very deliberate when doing something for the first time -- don't want to bust anything and cause more problems (been there, done that!).

Thanks for all the help, I love fixing my car!

Great. I too learned (the hard way) that patience is the best tool.
